Former Feral Cat

Former Feral Cat

Our Low Income Spay/Neuter Assistance Program was created to give assistance to low income families that love their pet(s) but can’t afford the hundreds of dollars it takes to have them fixed. We have helped hundreds of families & every now & then families email us & let us know how much their pet has changed since the surgery.

Great example is “former” feral cat Lola. Lola participated in our Spay Day on January 26th & 27th. She was a cat brought in after being trapped & was “feral” despite living indoors for the past several months. The original note we received from Lola’s owner was a nice confirmation that our low income spay/neuter assistance program is truly appreciated.

“I wanted to thank each of you for the help in spaying a stray cat that I discovered eating bird seed under my feeder. I live on a fixed income and could not afford to have her spayed. I left a message and it was promptly answered. I was able to have her spayed at the spay day at Cooper Veterinary Hospital. She is doing great and I have the relief of knowing that I won't have kittens that I can't find homes for. Every one that I had contact with was very professional and courteous. Also the cat was treated very humanely even though she was wild. Thanks to Paws this little kitty will now have a forever home with me and I won't have to worry about her . Again thank all of you for the needed hard work you do.

Every few months we get a wonderful update about Lola who is now the cuddly former feral cat. This last update had a picture attached that says it all.

Just thought you might like to see the beautiful little lady that Lola has become. She even has a perfect "heart" on her backside. She's no longer wild and is so sweet and loving and goes outside in the morning.....when SHE feels like it..... and comes back in before dark on her own. If it’s cold she scratches on the door to come back in. She just needed a chance and a family. I'm so glad that I was the one she chose. And we will always be grateful for your spay/neuter program that helped us when we needed it. With all the strays out there, you guys are the "angels" they need. Thank you, Dianne & Lola

A picture worth a 1000 words of Lola showing how much she is truly loved & loves.
